I’m Katy, a qualified dramatherapist with over fifteen years of experience supporting individuals of all ages through creative, relational, and reflective therapeutic work. My practice is grounded in dramatherapy theory and shaped by psychodynamic and relational approaches, always held within a trauma-informed framework. This means I work with care, sensitivity, and an awareness of how past experiences can shape present challenges, creating a collaborative space where you can explore at your own pace.

I offer a flexible approach, drawing on both verbal and nonverbal methods depending on what feels most helpful for you. Whether that’s talking things through, working with metaphor, movement, or image, I’ll work alongside you to find what feels right.

Alongside individual therapy, I can also offer parent/child dyadic work, supporting relationships through creative and attachment-informed exploration. This can be particularly helpful when families are navigating challenges such as anxiety, trauma, or relational difficulties. I am currently training in EMDR (eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing) and can now offer this modality in my practice.

Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of clinical settings and have also trained therapeutic professionals as a senior academic. I also offer clinical supervision, bringing depth, curiosity, and care to both therapy and professional support. I work with a broad spectrum of issues, from anxiety, low mood, identity, and loss to relationship challenges and the impacts of trauma. I offer in-person sessions in the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas, and online.
