EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing

EMDR is a powerful, evidence-based approach to therapy that helps people process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences. Rather than relying solely on talking through memories, EMDR uses gentle bilateral stimulation, often through eye movements, sounds, or taps, to support the brain’s natural ability to process and integrate difficult events. It is commonly used to treat post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but can also be effective for anxiety, phobias, low self-esteem, and other emotional difficulties linked to past experiences. Many people find that EMDR helps them shift how they relate to painful memories, reducing their emotional intensity and enabling new perspectives to emerge.

I am currently offering EMDR sessions as a therapist in training, working under supervision while completing my accredited EMDR course. This means you can access this approach in a safe, supportive, and closely supervised setting. If you're curious about whether EMDR might be a good fit for you, I’d be happy to discuss it further in an initial consultation.
